The vision behind Walk Eat Sleep is simply to create the best walking-centric guide in the United Kingdom.
Our plan is to launch the site in Q4 2024. With that aim in mind we’re building the site structure and gradually populating the site with a initial selection of walks to prove the concept.
The idea is to link each walking route with a carefully curated selection of places to eat and sleep. There are a wealth of excellent walking resources available on the internet and we intend to signpost and link to them as much as possible.
The project has been in the development and planning stage for some time, and we’re finally in the process of launching. It’s an enormous undertaking!
We know that to become the foremost walking resource available we’ll need to build a community of contributors to help populate the site and highlight the best places to eat and stay.
We hope you’ll join us on our journey!
Please bear with us while we continue to develop the site.
The Walk Eat Sleep Development Team
First and foremost we’re walkers. Walk Eat Sleep HQ is in Mid Wales, mainly as a result of our lead developer walking Offa’s Dyke Path in 2019 and falling in love with the landscape and isolation. He’s also walked the Pennine Way and more recently the Maelor Way.
Recent walks have included sections of the Wales Coast Path and Glyndŵr’s Way. Next on his wishlist is to complete Glyndŵr’s Way in it’s entirety, which passes close to home.
The site is a collaboration between the technical team at Generation X Digital and the design team at Heading for the Coast.
